Behind Its Own Door
Plenty of restaurants offering private dining in Hampstead and North London will screen off a corner of the main floor and call it a private room. Ours is downstairs on Finchley Road, with its own entrance and its own staircase, entirely separate from the restaurant above.
Once your group is in, the space belongs to you for the evening. No passing traffic, no neighbouring tables, no shouting over a busy Friday service. It seats 26 around one arrangement, so your party stays one conversation rather than three.
Everything served downstairs comes from the same kitchen as the restaurant — modern Indian tapas, small sharing plates rather than one large main each, which happens to suit a group rather well.

Is there a room hire fee?
No. The private room is included at no extra charge — no hire fee, no minimum bar spend and no service charge added to the room. Many London venues charge between £200 and £500 for a private room alone. We do not.
What does the £39 set menu include?
Any five dishes chosen from our full menu, plus unlimited naan, rice and papadums. Drinks are charged separately. If you would rather order à la carte on the night that is fine too — the £39 simply becomes a minimum spend on food.
Is the deposit refundable?
Yes. The £90 deposit is fully refunded if you cancel more than three days before your booking. Otherwise it comes off your final bill.
Do you host work xmas parties?
Yes. We take office xmas party and work Christmas dinner bookings for 9 to 26 guests throughout November and December. Our private room is in Hampstead, close to Finchley Road, West Hampstead and Swiss Cottage. No room hire fee, £39 per person, and December weekends go first.
How many people can you seat?
Up to 26 seated. The minimum for a private booking is 9.
How long do we have the room for?
Three hours from arrival as standard, which suits most dinners comfortably. Additional hours are £10 per person — do mention it when you book so we can plan the evening around it.
Can we bring decorations or a cake?
Yes, and you are welcome to bring your own. We can also arrange decoration for you — just tell us what you have in mind.
How far ahead should we book a Christmas party?
Most corporate Christmas and xmas bookings are confirmed by early October. December weekends go first.
Can you cater for dietary requirements?
Yes. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and allergy requirements are all accommodated with notice. All dishes are prepared with certified halal ingredients.
Do you have a private room at Muswell Hill?
The private dining room is at our Hampstead restaurant only. We are very happy to take group bookings at Muswell Hill — please get in touch to discuss.
