We serve small sharing plates rather than one large main each. Order three or four per person across the table and everyone tastes six or seven things instead of committing to one.
The tandoor does much of the work. Nawabi lamb chops, malai salmon tikka, chicken tikka and tandoor-roasted vegetables all come out of a clay oven rather than a fryer, which is why they taste the way they do. Alongside that, slow-cooked curries, biryani, freshly baked naan and street food from across India.
Vegetarian and vegan dishes run through the whole menu rather than sitting in a corner of it. Everything is prepared with certified halal ingredients, and gluten free and allergy requirements are accommodated.

We are on Finchley Road itself, between Hampstead and Golders Green.
Finchley Road station is the closest, on the Metropolitan and Jubilee lines, with Finchley Road & Frognal on the Overground nearby. Hampstead station on the Northern line is a short walk.
If you are coming from West Hampstead, Swiss Cottage, Childs Hill or Golders Green, we are ten minutes or less. Several bus routes run along Finchley Road past the door.

One practical note. Tandoor dishes and slow-cooked curries travel particularly well and are arguably better twenty minutes after they leave the kitchen. Breads are best eaten promptly rather than left in the bag.
