We serve small sharing plates rather than one large main each. Order three or four per person across the table and everyone tastes six or seven things instead of committing to one.
The tandoor does much of the work. Nawabi lamb chops, malai salmon tikka, chicken tikka and tandoor-roasted vegetables all come out of a clay oven rather than a fryer, which is why they taste the way they do. Alongside that, slow-cooked curries, biryani, freshly baked naan and street food from across India.
Vegetarian and vegan dishes run through the whole menu rather than sitting in a corner of it. Everything is prepared with certified halal ingredients, and gluten free and allergy requirements are accommodated.

Muswell Hill famously has no tube station, which is part of its character and occasionally a nuisance.
The nearest are East Finchley and Highgate on the Northern line, and Bounds Green on the Piccadilly. The W7, 102, 134, 234 and 299 all serve the area.
We are around ten minutes from Alexandra Palace, which is useful if you are heading to or from an event there. Also close to East Finchley, Highgate, Crouch End and Fortis Green itself.

Do check you are ordering from the Muswell Hill listing rather than Hampstead, as we appear on Deliveroo twice and the two restaurants are four miles apart.
One practical note. Tandoor dishes and slow-cooked curries travel particularly well and are arguably better twenty minutes after they leave the kitchen. Breads are best eaten promptly rather than left in the bag.
